For decades, travelers have flocked to the Island of Capri to experience the clothing of Mario Romano. Made from the finest materials, Mario’s attention to detail and understanding of the timeless style of Capri has attracted the most discerning fans. He has been able to maintain this high level of quality through production in his own Italian manufacturing facility that melds state-of-the-art equipment with traditional technique passed down from generation to generation in the Campania region of Italy, near Capri. From weaving the linen, to knitting cashmere made from Loro Piana yarn, to cutting and sewing, to attaching buttons, every stage of production is meticulously monitored and executed by the finest artisans and craftspeople. With four boutiques on Capri Island, one in Ravello, one in Sorrento, and one in Amalfi, Mario Romano opened its first location in America in Palm Beach, FL in 2015 and a second boutique in Naples, FL in 2016, with plans to expand in the United States and elsewhere.
Now a second generation family business, all three of Mario’s children maintain leading positions at the company, filling the roles of Designer, Merchandiser, and Manufacturer. With Mario overseeing all of the operations.
Mario Romano’s high standards for quality and classic design sets them apart from today’s brands, where constantly changing trends and “fast fashion” production are so common. Mario Romano’s dedication to small batch manufacturing assures the best quality, environmental responsibility, and the most humane condition for its employees at all times. All of which are extremely important to the Romano Family and the company.
